Correction: Parker and Pri(t)chard and Allen

Hello:

I need to correct the TAG vol numbers, they are vols 44 and 45, I believe
these are 1968 and 1969. The articles do not give a daughter named
Margery to Roger Pritchard the immigrant.

Another person has written saying:

"There was a passenger list for Bermuda that contained a William Parker &
a Margery Pritchard. However, there is no proof that these were the same
two individuals who ended up in Connecticut. The birth register for Sarah
Parker, b. 29 Oct 1637[,] lists her parents as William Parker and Margery
Allen. If Margery was a Pritchard, there is no proof she was related to
Roger. However, the evidence seems to indicate she was an Allen."

And I received this citation:

"Family Records, Parker-Pond-Peck, 1632-1892
Parker, Edwin Pond. University Microfilm International [Ann Arbor, Mich:
1985] microreproduction of original published: Hartford CT: Case,
Lockwood & Brainard, 1892, 51 pp.; manuscript notes inserted bet. pp. 10-
11, 12-13.

William Parker [d 1686] came to CT from Eng in 1633; he m Magery [d 1680]
c 1636. He m Elizabeth Pratt in 1682."

Any assistance appreciated.

Surely "the birth register" is not a very good citation....
Sorry if that seems picky.

I'm just a bit skeptical I suppose. I'm certain there must be better
citations of people living in the 17th century than a manuscript written at the end
of the 19th. Surely?
It's very hard in my mind to rely on this for the creation of a child or
of two marriages. It's not like there are no contemporary records for CT.

Perhaps I missed something. Is there any evidence that these people
have lines that can be connected back to the medieval period? These two
are my ancestors, so I have an interest in this. I have no hard
information on William Parker or Margery Pritchard's English
progenitors.

Some sources in Ancestral File confuse William Parker of CT to another
William Parker in Virginia.
