Looking for the answer to the ancestry of Phillipa born c1274 and married to a John or William De Karry/Cary - or whatever spelling. He was born c1270.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In the past, Leo van de Pas has kindly and generously provided me with
information to the effect that I am a descendant of one Philippa
Archdekne (an intriguing surname). According to the information that
Leo supplied, my Philippa was born in 1380 and she married Sir hugh
Courtenay, of Haccombe (who died on 15 March 1425). She was the
daughter of Sir Warrin Archdekne (1354 - 1400) and Elizabeth Talbot
(d.1407). It seems possible, to me, that my Philippa and yours may
have been connected.
The interesting part is that Elizabeth Talbot was a descendant of John
Baliol, of Bywell (b.c1200)and his wife Dervorguilla (b.c1218), dau.
of Alan lord of Galloway via. their daughter Eleanor. They were the
parents of John Baliol, King of Scotland, and they were the founders
of Balliol College, Oxford.
Perhaps this may assist.

Some more time and some more study has provided some more information
in relation to this interesting question.
According to Burke's extinct peerage (1883 Edn.), there was a Philippa
Archdekne (b.1386, not c1274) who was the daughter of Elizabeth Talbot
and Sir Warine Archdekne. This Elizabeth Talbot was the dau. of Sir
John Talbot and he was the son of Richard Talbot of Richard's Castle
(the second son).
Philippa Archdekne had a daughter Joan (b.1411) who married Robert de
Vere, second son of Richard de Vere, 11th Earl of Oxford (from whom I
happen to descend).
Meanwhile, Gilbert Talbot, older brother of Richard Talbot of
Richard's Castle, married Elizabeth who was the dau. of John Comyn,of
Badenoch and his wife, Eleanor Baliol. Gilbert and Elizabeth had
Gilbert Talbot, 3rd baron whose daughter Elizabeth Talbot married
Henry, Lord grey de Wilton. It was the latter Elizabeth Talbot who was
the descendant of the House of Baliol (I was in error the first time -
I find that I happen to descend from both Elizabeth Talbots mentioned
here.)
