Poor Bill Arnold - is this risible trollery what he's been reduced to?
Unable to contribute intelligently, has he been left wallowing in his
own bilious vomit - devoid of scholarly material and yet unable to
break away from the newsgroup he so desperately wanted to be a part
of?
Is this how a retired Professor of Classics and Adjunct Professor of
English chooses to present himself to the world now?
Listers might like to remind themselves of the reviews of his book
here on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/review/product/18 ... Descending
His poetry is described as "pitiable" [cf the above offering] and
"interspersed in vile excess"; his writing style as "nonsensical
trash".
We also see an excoriation of his feeble addiction to anagrams and
wordplay [cf 'letiTiAfluFf', the juvenile pun on taf and Leticia
Cluff, two of the intelligent posters here with whom Professor Arnold
has exhibited a peculiar fixation].
Quite pathetic. Why do adults do this to themselves?

Thanks for this link, Michael - it gave me the best belly laugh
since....well, since Hines yesterday.
I especially enjoyed the Arnoldian aperçu that Emily Dickinson's white
dress "was emblematic of the bridegroom of Christ...". Transvestism as
well as travesty.
The 5-star reviews were clearly all written by the author: there could
not be six real people so illiterate who could actually read a book to
start with, much less feel the need to write about it.

Arnold concentrates on the use of capitals and concludes that:
"her *M-A-dne-S-S* was *S-A-M*", i.e. Samuel Bowles.
Read it all here:

So the madness of *letiTiAfluFf* is evidently *TAF*
I believe this kind of madness commonly affects people who think they
