translation from French?

Legg inn av Gjest » 13 feb 2008 19:54:03

I did a search in Calendar of Patent Rolls using Poinz as a surname, and it
returned about 20 entries, with four of them appearing to be in french. Does
anyone on this list understand french enough to translate? I can provide the
appropriate pages to find the entries if needed. The first one I opened was
some type of letter it seemed by Nicholas Poinz, talking about his son Hugh,
and later his daughter Cecily and Beatrice. beyond that, I was lost for what
it said. The earliest entry is dated 1216, and was most likely written in Jan,
as an entry the page before had a date of Dec 28th.

let me know if anyone can help

Ken

"Cecilia, daughter of my daughter Beatrice"
