Charlemagne and his descendants

Erich Brandenburg's book has been mentioned, covering 14 generations of people descending from Charlemagne.

I would like to add Siegfried Rosch "Caroli Magni Progenies", Part 1, published in 1977, which covers only 6 generations, but in more detail. It appears (hope I am wrong) Part 2 was not produced.

I did not want to do it, but I have. I have made a file with 15 generations, using 672 pages. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Why don't you just put it on your site, Leo?

That's quite easy to do -- and Ian Fettes can surely do it for you.

Then we can ALL download it and provide you with feedback.

An excellent idea if you were to put it on your wonderful site Leo.

I have that there are 14012 people in my file who are descendants of
Charlemagne and also ancestors of Prince William.

I have that there are 1066 people in my file who are descendants of
Charlemagne and also ancestors of me.

This must tell us something, but I'm not sure what, other than
that Prince William is well royally connected and I am not.

Ian Fettes has some very interesting data on those issues.

Perhaps he will offer his insights.

Prince William has an incredibly large number of lines to Charlemagne --
millions, as I recall.
