How Many Children Did King Henry IV & Mary de Bohun Have?

We recently saw a disorganized, desultory discussion concerning the number
of children of Henry IV of England and Mary de Bohun.

Some said SEVEN, others said EIGHT, one pogue said TEN. Leo says SIX.

Far better to start at Brian Tompsett's site, which is generally quite
useful for BRITISH Royalty -- and as a Good Place To Start, although Brian
appears to have given it up and has not made changes since March 2005. As
it was a computer science experiment for him, in seeing how people access a
database of this sort, that is completely understandable.

Brian shows SEVEN children.

Edward, the first child, appears to have died in April 1382, the same month
he was born, but is not called out as a stillbirth.

Mary seems to have died in childbirth from that last child, Philippa, when
she was just about 24 or 25. Philippa reportedly survived and married Erik
VII, King of Denmark.

It was reportedly common for a woman who found she was pregnant to order up
her coffin soon thereafter.

Look up the definition of "stillbirth" some time.

You know, I'm prepared to take it that she definitely survived (Erik
presumably thought so too...)
