Here on Leo's great website
http://www.genealogics.org/getperson.ph ... 9&tree=LEO

we see Miss unknown Denton, the wife of William Eure d 1644, who was
son of William 4th Lord Eure of Witton (by his wife Lucy Noel)

Miss unknown is actually Margaret Denton, which is another unusual
case of two sisters with the same forename. Her elder sister Margaret
Denton, was that son who married Sir Edmund Verney, Knt (d 1642 Battle
of Edgehill)

The life of Margaret Denton is laid out at length with quotations from
many letters in the "Memoirs of the Verney family" here
http://books.google.com/books?id=Va4BAA ... #PPA276,M1

She was married thrice
Firstly to John Poulteney, Esq of Misterton, Leics who died in or
abour 1637 when she is called "about twenty five" evidently they had
no children.
Secondly she married, after many suitors pressed their cases and her
mother and others tried to compel her to take the wealthiest to the
rather non-wealthy William Eure, esq who after having two daughters by
her, had the misfortune of going off and getting himself killed at the
Battle of Marston Moor 2 Jul 1644

Thirdly Margaret Denton married that Philip Sherard "second son" who
"matric St John's Coll 14 Jun 1639" age 15, so a man about a decade
younger than herself. He was the son of William Lord Sherard (d 1640
"aged 52" at Stapleford) by his wife Abigail Cave "eldest daughter and
co-heiress of her father, bur 28 Feb 1655/6)

By her third husband, Margaret Denton became the grandmother of the
Earl of Harborough.

Will

See VCH Hertford, Vol. 2, sub Shenley, pps 264-273.

Apparently, according to these authors John Pulteney and William Eure
had a wife Margaret Fortescue. Not sure how this fits.
