Barlow(? ancestor of Almy family of RhodeIsland)
It's Martin not Michael (BTW), although Michael is my husband, so I
find the name really funny.
It's been my experience that Burke's Presidential Families is not of
the same high standard that Gary B. Roberts' work is. Isn't that the
work that has a royal line for Abraham Lincoln? And isn't there one
for John F. Kennedy? I'll look around for those sources and get back
to you.
With apologies to Martin.
Burke's Presidential families does not have a (royal) line for John F.
Kennedy, but it does show one for Abraham Lincoln, to Edward I of England.
In my system I have 37 ancestors for Abraham Lincoln over 9 generations and
so nothing to anyone royal.
I do hope you can find something to establish whether Burke's Presidential
families is also wrong with Ulysses S. Grant, and more importantly where the
error occurs---------or perhaps is Ulysses S Grant an oversight by Gary Boyd
Roberts? Somehow I do not think so.
With many thanks
