Lupset - upset?

Cockayne's Complete Baronetage Volume I page 50
We find Sir George Savile, 1st Baronet, of Thornhill and (wife nr 2) Elizabeth Ayscough have a son

Sir John Savile, of Lupset, buried 8 May 1660 Horbury
married (1) NN (2) Anne Soame
by his second wife he was father of Sir John, 6th Baronet

---------------
Burke's Peerage 1999 page 108, recording the Armytage family

Here we find Elizabeth Armytage who in 1626 married Sir John Savile, of Lupset (he died July 1650), Elizabeth died 1638.

---------------

The above leaves room for Elizabeth Armytage to be the NN, the only problem is the date of death for Sir John Savile, died July 1650 but bried 8 May 1660 seems a little odd.

Sir George Savile, 1st Baronet, married (1) Lady Mary Talbot, I do not know when she died, but their two sons were born 1583 and 1599.
if Sir George remarried shortly after 1599 he could well have a son by his second wife marrying in 1626.

Would anyone know what is going on?
With many thanks.

Hi Leo,

See "Antiquarian Notices of Lupset, The Heath, Sharlston, in the
County of York" by Joseph Hunter, 1851 available on Google Books,
which deals quite extensively with the Saviles of Lupset and may
answer some of your questions.

Regards,

John
