Middleton 1100-1600

In Mauleverer 1100-1300, I read:
"...the descent was in the male line to Richard Mauleverer of Beamsley, living in 1399, who
died without issue, his eventual heirs being his sisters Alice, wife of
John Middleton of Stockeld..."

I am trying to find Middletons in the period 1100-1600, and Yorkshire seems likely, as
well as Suffolk. The Yorkshire Visitations I read online are incomplete as far as I have
viewed, so far. Can anyone help with a full pedigree, dates, as I read in the Mauleverer
posts?

Thanks,

Bill

Which Middletons are you particularly interested in? You mention the
Middletons of Stockeld, by why them? What about the Myddletons of Chirk
Castle, or other families of Middletons?

And why discriminate against the Middletons of Shropshire? Eyton in

vol. 11 of his Antiquities of Shropshire mentions Granta de Middleton
as living between 1148 and 1154
