I believe that I have determine that that Margaret Thorold d 1618 dau of Robert Thorold by his wife Agnes Audley is the same person as Margaret Thorold who married secondly to Sir John Wingfield of Tickencote d 1626.

Margaret Thorold married firstly to John Blythe, Esq of Denton and said-to-be-also of Stroxton who ob 8 Nov 1602 with a monument (or had one) in Denton Church.

If all of this identification holds up then I now have a few *hundred* people to which to give much lower Cecil numbers.

Anne Blythe, daughter of Margaret Thorold by her first marriage, married on 17 Oct 1616 to William Thorold at Tickencote, he being second son b abt 1591 to William Thorold (d.v.p 1590/4) by his wife Frances Tyrwhitt (who afterward married George Hatcliffe of Grimsby)

By this marriage Anne Blythe puts the Thorold family on *both* sides of her children's pedigrees, her own great-grandfather William Thorold of Marston was married twice.

Firstly William Thorold married Dorothy Leake of Hallam and had inter alia his eldest son Sir Anthony Thorold of Marston. Secondly William Thorold married Margaret Hussey and had inter alia his fifth son Robert Thorold Esq of Low Hall in Hough, jure uxoris.

Anthony's grandson William, married Robert's granddaughter Anne.

I'm still looking for sources, but a majority of this is shown by Lincolnshire Pedigrees by A R Maddison.
