Is Charlemagne better than Plantagenet?

I wonder how many people have access to the Journal of the Foundation for Medieval Genealogy, 2007, July (vol 2.4) ?

A very kind person provided me with a copy of an article about Scandinavian Medieval Descendants of Charlemagne.

It centres on Agnes Haakonsdottir of Borgarsyssel, who according to my system has at least 24 lines to Charlemagne.

For a number of generations her descendants remained in Scandinavia, but then spread to Germany and Austria. One line merged with the Gorges family in England by becoming a sister in law to Queen Catherine Parr last wife of Henry VIII, and includes Elizabeth Gorges the last wife of Sir Ferdinando Gorges of Maine fame.

Most of todays monarchs are her descendants, Christian IX of Denmark is one the first monarchs descended from her. However the Russian Poet Alexander Pushkin is a descendant and so is Wernher von Braun.

I wonder, whoever has seen this article can comment on it? Can anyone add or detract from it?

With best wishes
