In Brad's series of the descendents of Edward III, I don't think I've
seen the family of Kynaston of Oteley
The ascent is said-to-go like this:
Francis Kynaston of Oteley obt 23E1 m Margaret Charlton dau of Francis
son of
George Kynaston of Oteley m Jane Grey d of Edward Gray of Enville
son of
Humphrey "the Wild" Kynaston (will 1534) m Elizabeth verch Meredith
Son of
Sir Roger Kynaston of Hordley; Sheriff of Salop 1461, 1470 d 1495/6 m
Elizabeth Grey
Daughter of
Henry Grey, 2nd Earl of Tankerville d 13 Jan 1449/50 m Antigone
Countess of Tankerville "her birth legitimated by Charles VII, King of
France June 1451"
Daughter of
Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester by an unknown mistress
son of Henry IV
son of John of Gaunt
son of Edward III
What think ye !!!

I haven't looked at the Kynaston line in any detail, so I don't know
about the above two generations.
'The Feudal Barons of Powys' by Morris Charles Jones [London: J.
Russell Smith, 1868] is a well-detailed source for the Greys of
Powys. It provides detailed contemporary documents, as well as a
thorough accounting of the 1731 petition of John Kynaston of Hordley,
Shropshire for the termination of the abeyance of the barony of
Powys. The above generations are confirmed in that.
It all looks good.
Cheers, -----Brad

Like Brad I can't account for the final two generations but the others
are sound.
In case you haven't seen it the following chancery record relates to
this line:
Parties: Edward Grey, bastard son of Edward Grey, Lord Powes, deceased
by Jane, daughter of Sir Lewis Orwell, knight. Jane, Anne, Joyce and
Cicely were his daughters by the said Jane Orwell. Edward Kynaston is
his right heir, viz. son and heir of Humphrey, son and heir of Roger
Kynaston and Elizabeth his wife, daughter of Henry Grey Lord Powes,
father of Richard Grey Lord Powes, father of John Grey, Lord Powes,
father of John Grey. C 43/4/30.
Another source that may be of interest on this line is V.W. Lloyd
"Sheriffs of Montgomeryshire, with Their Amorial Bearings, and
Notices, Genealogical and Biographical, of their Families, From 1540
to 1639" (London, T.Richards, 1876)
When Brad gets to Welsh families I have another line to that presented
by Will, via Edward Kynaston of Hordley, son of Humphrey and his wife
who I call Elsbeth verch Maredudd.
cheers
