At last I got around to this one.

Help me. In my system I have John Beauchamp, of Hatch, 2nd Lord Beauchamp
(I am not so sure about the 2nd Lord Beauchamp part) married to Margaret
St.John and they have a daughter Cicely born in 1321.

Is it this John who is a son of John de Beauchamp (1249-1283) and Cecily
de Vivonne? It is possible, but it would make Cicely's father at least 38
when she was born. What do you think?
Leo

While trying to add more "companions of the conqueror" to my
database, I found that Genealogics does not list
John de Beauchamp, 1st of Hatch, son of John de Beauchamp and
Cicily de Vivonne, as brother of Humphrey de Beauchamp,
your #333010 and thus son of Robert de Beauchamp
and Alice de Mohun, see C. P. II 48.

This causes a disconnect between me and another Companion.

I think I said that wrong!.

This causes a disconnect between me and another Companion.

I am simply quoting CP II: 48-50, with no changes in CP: XIV

It goes:

Robert de Beauchamp m Alice de Mohun
had

John de Beauchamp m Cecily de Vivonne

they had

John de Beauchamp b 1274 1st of Hatch m Joan Chenduit

**********
and

William Ferrers Earl of Derby m Sibyl MArshall

had
Maud de Ferrers m William de Vivonne

and they had Cicely de Vivonne d 1320

I don't see enough birth dates in CP to make any problems.
There are birth dates in tertiary sources, but they are all
very approximate.

The Humphrey I mentioned is in Tim Powys-Lybbe's files,
not in CP. He was son of Robert de Beauchamp and
Alice de Mohun.
