Dear Douglas,

This e-mail is very much appreciated. You never went for the grandstanding
of King XYZ my umpteenth generation ancestor, or "my cousin Lady Diana", but
it is great to see you have no problem sharing your ancestry.

Brad Verity brought up the subject of genealogical programs. Sadly the
person who wrote mine is no longer available.

But let me display some of the features my program has.

By asking, I found that in my system, thanks to this lineage, I have now
1,775 ancestors for you.
7 I have not as yet marked off to which country they belong, but
27 USA - 567 England - 1 Portugal - 90 Wales - 72 Ireland - 31 Scotland -
648 France - 16 Belgium - 172 Germany - 31 The Netherlands - 1 Hungary - 10
Russia - 11 Sweden - 26 Spain - 3 Austria - 1 Norway - 38 Italy - 14 belong
to the Obotrites - 3 Denmark - 6 Asia

Amongst the "interesting" ancestors ( I won't record all, there are too
many)
You know Gateways Rev. Samuel Dudley and Thomas Dudley,
John Winthrop, Governor of Massachusetts
John de Vere, 7th Earl of Oxford, 1312-1360
Llywelyn Fawr "the Great", Prince of Wales, 1173-1240
Robert FitzWalter, died 1235 Magna Carta Surety
Richard de Clare, 4th Earl of Hertford, 1155-1217 Magna Carta Surety
Robert de Ros 1172-1226 Magna Carta Surety
William d;Aubenay 1146-1236 Magna Carta Surety
Saher de Quincy, 1st Earl of Winchester, 1155-1219, Magna Carta Surety
John King of England, 1167-1216
Robert de Vere, 3rd Earl of Oxford, 1164-1221 Magna Carta Surety
Gilbert de Clare, 5th Earl of Hertford 1180-1230 Magna Carta Surety
John de Lacy, 1st Earl of Lincoln 1192-1240 Magna Carta Surety
William I 'the Lion', King of Scots 1143-1213
William de Mowbray, -1222 Magna Carta Surety
David I 'the Saint', King of Scots 1080-1153
Geoffrey V of Anjou 1113-1151
St.Margaret of Wessex 1045-1093
William the Conqueror, King of England 1028-1097
Henri I, King of France 1008-1080
Piers de Valoins -1109 Domesday Book Tenant
Jaroslav I Vladimiorvitch, Grand Duke of Kiev, 980-1054
Torlogh O'Brien King of Munster, 1009-1086
Bian Boru, King of Ireland 926-1014
Hugues Capet, King of France 940-996
St.Vladimir I, Grand Duke of Kiev 955-1015
Olof III Skotkonung, King of Sweden -1022
Robert of Normandy, Comte d'Evreux, Archbishop of Rouen -1037
Rollo, Duke of Normandy 846-932
Berengar II, King of Italy 900-966
Heinrich I 'the Fowler' Emperor 876-936
Alfred 'the Great', King of England 849-899
Otto I 'the Great' Emperor 912-973
Charles 'the Bald', Emperor 823-877
Charlemagne, Emperor 747-814

If I would want to I can then take one of these and ask _how_ this person is
an ancestor and then the lineage will be displayed.

Also I can (now) take Douglas Richardson and the name of, say, Audrey
Hepburn and ask how they are related, and that would then be displayed.

Within a certain limited number of generations I can take one person and ask
how many times that person is an ancestor.

Hope this is of interest.
With best wishes
