Just curious was Robert the Good married a wife named Estrid Svensdottor?
Or is this supposed to be Sveiðasdottor?

I have BOTH *Richard II* The Good AND *Robert I* The Devil, Dukes of
Normandy, married to the same woman, Estrith/Estrid/Margaret Sveynsdottir.
She was the daughter of Sveyn I Forkbeard, King of Denmark and England.
Robert I was the son of Richard II and his first wife, judith of Brittany.
This means that Robert I married his father's widow, undoubtedly to
consolidate an alliance with the house of Sveyn. No wonder the church
preferred to refer to Robert I as 'The Devil', rather than 'The
Magnificent', during a period when it was trying to consolidate its power,
and stamp out such goings on, in Normandy.

Estrith/Estrid/Margaret Sveynsdottir was also married to Ulf Thorkilsson,
Jarl from Denmark.

You can't do better online than to consult Stewart Baldwin's Henry Project
pages on Robert I

and Richard II

for discussion of this.
