The Peerage... is it updated?

Good Afternoon. Is The Peerage.com updated when contrary research found? Who decides if the new conflicting research will override what is in The Peerage?

I am re-reading the old archives to see what I missed when I passed over it when not working on that side of the family. I am reading the various conflicting research and thoughts which bring me to more questions... like which is more reliable.

Are there any other reliable databases like The Peerage that I can read up on. As I am reading up on my early ancestors I find that I am curious about the rulers of the nations in the land of their birth and its associated history. Because I have the time right now I am working on my COBB line going back to the 1200s-1300s in Kent England to start. Then, I'd like to go back in English history from there.

Rotherfield - The Story of some Wealden Manors by Catharine Pullein

This is a very interesting book... what I did learn was that not every name that is in the book was not listed in the index. This is the second time I found this to be true. I am now finding myself going back to the old books and scan every page since the index may not be as complete and I could have missed something that I was looking for and passed over since it wasn't in the index. This may not be surprising to you who are experienced, but for me... it is a new discovery.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Dolores
