--Edwardus Hombston to Agnes Welch, 12 Nov. 1568

Hombston being short for "Humberston" or "Humberstone" ...

She must have been very young, as her first husband's (Humberston's)
gravestone from 1583 (found in Cussan's _Hertfordshire_) indicates 8
children, and other sources give her 7 children by her second
(Chauncy) marriage.

(Walkern, Herts.):

On the floor of the nave, in front of the chancel arch, are brasses to
a man and his wife, wifth five sons and three daughters, and this
inscription beneath:---

Here lyeth buryed ye bodye of Edward Humbarstone sonne of
John Humbarstone Gent who maryed Annas the Daughter of
Edward Welche & had Issue by her v sonnes and iij daughters
and deceassed the xx daye of May in ye yere of or Lorde God 1583.

At the head is a shield charged with HUMBERSTONE in the first and
fourth quarters; in the second, ... _within a Bordure_; and in the
third, _on a Bend three Roundles, a Chief dancette_.

ARMS above:---WESTROWE, as before, impaling (Argent;) a Chevron
(gules), between 3 Fleurs-de-lys sable, for DIXWELL.

Mrs. Elizabeth Dixwell Westrowe was the niece and correspondent of
John Dixwell (the Regicide) after his relocation to New England.

Elizabeth Dixwell was related to the well-known English regicide who
escaped to New Haven, Connecticut?

Yep, she was his niece and sent him books and money in New England:
