For Michael Miller: an Eylesford snippet

Legg inn av Gjest » 17 aug 2007 19:06:27

Today I picked up a set of the two volume "Catalogue of the Medieval
Muniments at Berkeley Castle", edited by Bridget Wells-Furby
(Gloucestershire Record Series, vols 17 & 18, 2004), most of which
should, I believe, be available on A2A.

I notice one Eylesford entry that was news to me:

"Roger, son of Roger de Bourghill, has sold to Agnes, daughter of
Gerard de Eylesford, for a certain sum of money, custody of the lands
and heir of Walter Ilour in Canonebrugg' [Cannon Bridge,
Herefordshire] until the full age of the heir. At King's Pyon, Sunday
before St Kenelm, 18 Edward II [15 July 1324]"

A2/54/1 [GC 2426]. vol I, p 506.
