Malheureusement.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting
different results.

If you mean can Hines stop his libellous nonsense about me, I doubt it - the
man can't seem to help himself, or he wouldn't have come back here & aimed
his rusty pop-gun of dud falsehoods at me.

If you mean will I stop defending myself to the utmost against outright lies
and vile distortions from him and others, no matter how damp their squibs,
the answer is of course not.

Hilarious!

Peter Stewart -- "The Intrepid Warrior".

It is to laugh.

Methinks his own squib is quite damp and flaccid.

Let's be fair. DSH did not post the first message with the incorrect
subject line. Tony Hoskins did that, in a message posted solely to
soc.genealogy.medieval.

Then the usual thing happened. The tavern keeper's scion came along
and cross-posted the message so that it went to ahb and shm.

Normally when he does this (about twice a day) he corrects any errors
in the subject line (and gives every word his trademark tasteless
initial capitals). Because this one was French, however, he failed to
detect the error.

Understandable, really.

"Tavern keeper's son"? Do you know who Admiral Wellington T. Hines
was? A verifiable genius, went to college for high school, graduated
from the US Naval Academy, aviator, big WWII logistics hero, part of
the Manhattan Project, served various administrative posts with the
Navy Department and the predecessor to NASA. I have heard his
granddaughter is quite intelligent, something about genetics skipping
a generation.

Generation-skipping intelligence isn't the major problem. It's the
inability to engage in civlized debate, to behave in polite society.
It's the compulsion to show off all his repulsive sides in public and
to incur the hatred of everyone.

I wonder if his long-suffering wife knows what he is doing at the
computer all day?

We used to get the language setting on his posts as Japanese, I think
she knows, and like most Japanese wives, takes it as a given. I must
add, however, that some Japanese husbands in the years after the war,
had a certain amount of understanding when their wives were working in
clubs and dance halls.
