to see the claim, citing Burke's Peerage 107th
that some Herbert Pelham, was b abt 1567 the son of some
Sir Edmund Pelham who died 4 Jun 1606

You can see that Sir Edmund is given no wife and no widow either (in case he married more than once).

I can now defeat the nefarious plot of Burke to suppress this woman's existence, for she, at least the widow of Edmund if not also the mother of Herbert was... Ellen Darrell
