Here on Leo's excellent site

we see Margaret Locke there called "Margaret Locke Taylor"
who married lastly Francis Willoughby, Deputy Governor of Massachusetts
A treatment of her and her connections was published in 1881 here, in particular that her name was Margaret Lock and that Taylor was a prior husband:
http://books.google.com/books?id=Mf8KAA ... n#PPA59,M1
The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol XXXV(1881), page 59-
"The Descent of Margaret Locke, Third Wife of Deputy Governor Francis Willoughby"
by Col Joseph L Chester, LL.D.
--------------
Today I've found that marriage record mentioned, between Margaret Lock and Daniel Taylor in the extracted IGI (For first marriage see http://www.familysearch.org - IGI - British Isles - Batch M019662)
Which shows that Margaret Lock and Daniel Taylor married
6 Aug 1654 St Stephen, Coleman Street, London
----------------
They didn't enjoy wedded bliss for long as Genealogical Gleanings shows
http://books.google.com/books?id=6miNzg ... r%22+locke
that this Daniel, wife Margaret, had a Will codicil dated 28 Mar 1655 and Will proved 28 Apr 1655
So he lived for perhaps eight months after this marriage.
This also narrows the window into which Francis and Margaret could have then married to 1655/1659

Re: Genealogics update: Ancestry of Margeret (Locke) Taylor
Interesting. I hadn't realized her first husband was this particular
Daniel Taylor, whose mother was Margaret Wilson, sister of Rev. John
Wilson of Boston, and related to the wife of Rev. Henry Whitfield (and
other Wilson-Woodhall descendants). Notice that Daniel Taylor's will
mentions his "brother Robert Clarkson" and "sister Clarkson." These
people were kin of the Clarksons of New York, and have some fairly
prominent descendants (Drydens, etc.) ....

Will thank you for that excellent post.
I would like to point out to you another interesting connection for
this Locke family.
If I might direct your attention once more to that Jane Locke who
married Robert Meredith, this work you cite claims that this couple
had a daughter Mary who married Richard Springham, mercer and
themselves had a daughter Magdalen who married Thomas Marsham of
London.
They then make the outlandish claim that this family is ancestral, by
this route, to the Earl of Romney, et al and probably more important
people today.
Checking this against Leo's most excellent website we find that he is
missing this connection *backwards* but Indeed has the connection
*forward*.
Go here
http://www.genealogics.org/descend.php? ... 8&tree=LEO
and you can see the first six generations of descendents from this
Magdalen Springham.
But checking her person-page here
http://www.genealogics.org/getperson.ph ... 8&tree=LEO
we see only her father Richard with no mother listed.

Will, calm down. No need to go around talking to yourself and posting
empty blanks.
It's not a contest to see who can post the most and thus get to the
top of the list ...

Yes Will you insufferable dunderhead.
If you'd just read a bit further in that same work you linked to, you'd see they state as well that his fourth wife was the widow of his son-in-law.
Weird.
