TAG's schedule

Legg inn av Gjest » 16 jul 2007 18:45:38

We are indeed behind schedule, but we hope to be catching up,
especially since I retired this year from college teaching. Currently
we are working on two issues simultaneously, though they will perhaps
be published a month apart. There is, however, a limit to how fast we
can put an issue together, because it is proofread at least four times
(and even then we may missing something, like the misprinted date in
the Whitney article). Schedule is important, but the quality of each
issue is even more significant.

There has been no problem in the mailing, at least from our side. When
the issue is in "blueline" stage, I express a disk with the mailing
labels to our printer, the Sheridan Press in Hanover, PA. The issue is
then mailed by the printer. The bill we have received from the recent
mailing indicates that all the subscribers' issue were sent out; any
delays in receipt probably should be credited to the post office. With
every issue, we have to replace copies lost in transit, usually only
two or three out of some 1800 mailed.
