Cahiers de Saint Louis, page 823
Elizabeth Mortimer, married (1) Henry Percy (2) Thomas Camoys, by her first
husband had a son and a daughter, but no children by her second husband. A
footnote explains : Attrributed to the second marriage was Alice, wife of
Leonard Hastings, but The Visitations of Essex 1530 stated that Alice was
from the first marriage of her father to Elizabeth Louches.

Gerald Paget in his work on the ancestors of Prince Charles, Page 406
Q99392 Alice, daughter of Thomas, 5th Lord Camoys,by Elizabeth, daughter of
Williasm de Louches, of Milton, Oxfordshire

Burke's Peerage1938, page 478, only tells that Thomas Camoys had an only son
by his first wife Elizabeth Louches
Burke's Peerage 1999, page 477, here Thomas Camoys is given another son but
by Elizabeth Mortimer, his second wife. This son Roger was born about 1406.

Does this mean that Cahiers de Saint Louis is correct in making Alice a
daughter of Elizabeth Louches, but wrong in saying that Elizabeth Mortimer
had no children by her second husband?

I can only presume the Blood Royal was wrong.

Subject: Hon. Alice Camoys wife of Sir Leoanrd Hastings

Hello

In the Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal - Mortimer-Percy Volume in
Table II it shows that Lady Elizabeth Percy nee Mortimer the widow of Lord
Henry (Hotspur) Percy married 2ndly to Thomas, Lord Camoys was the mother
of Hon. Alice Camoys who married Sir Leonard Hastings. I have seen on
various websites that Hon. Alice Camoys was the daughter of Thomas, Lord
Camoys by his 1st wife Elizabeth Louches.

Could someone please let me know which Elizabeth the wife of Thomas, Lord
Camoys was the mother of Hon. Alice Camoys who married Sir Leonard
Hastings preferably with sources etc,

Did Thomas, Lord Camoys have any other children by his 2nd wife Elizabeth
Percy (nee Mortimer) the widow of Lord Henry (Hotspur) Percy and if so
could someone please let me know who they were and state sources etc.

Any information will be greatfully received.

Jamie

Hello

Many thanks for the info, As there are no sources given in The Plantagenet
Roll of the Blood Royal it would therefore be unwise to totally trust that
the information given in the book is 100% correct. In the Mortimer-Percy
Volume of the series, Hon. Alice Camoys (shown to be the daughter of
Elizabeth Percy nee Mortimer and Thomas, Lord Camoys) who married Sir
Leonard Hastings is shown as having children and to see Part II. Part II of
this volume I understand was never published so perhaps Ruvigny died before
starting this volume or during working on this volume and therefore the
volume never got published. If Ruvigny was working on the Part II of this
volume then does anyone know if the unpublished work exists somewhere?

Regards

Jamie
