Perhaps of interest. My article "Mary Boleyn's Carey Children: offsping
of King Henry VIII?", _The Genealogist's Magazine_ (London, 1997) has
been re-printed and is accessible online at GenealogyMagazine.com:

What a treat! Thank you. Footnote 5, seems to be missing, however.

Have any DNA tests been done?

Dear Peter Jason,

I understand there are two kinds of DNA tests possible, totally male line or
totally female line. The Carey male line became extinct in the late 1600s
and even if you could get any Carey DNA you will not be able to get Henry
VIII DNA to compare.

The longest female line from Mary Boleyn (which anyway does not establish
the link to Henry VIII) goes to (as far as I know) to Lady Alice Harriet
Frederica Egerton who died in 1928.

If only there was another way to produce "irrefutable proof",

With best wishes
