Can anyone suggest a fixed width font, so that I can type a chart, in plain text, that will not loose spacing when sent to the list?

The problem is at the display end, where the reader's computer is
using a proprotional font.

However, if you type it in, for example, Courier New, the alignment
will be correct whether it 'looks' right or not. The reader can paste
it into Notepad or a word processor and 'fix' the font for reading.

Also, Google groups has a fixed-space font option for reading.
