Descendants of King Edward I

In doing research on the descendants of King Edward I, I came across the following sentence in a book privately published in the 1880's:

John Bevin married Yeda of Giies Daubney produced a daughter, Katharin Bevin.

I have been puzzling over what that means. I suspect that Giies Daubney is garbled from Giles Daubney. Does anyone have an opinion on Yeda?

Thanks. This is my very first email to Gen-Medieval.

Perhaps "ye dau" i.e. "the daughter" (of Giles Daubeney)?
