small d'Oilly addition?

Sanders' "English Baronies", p. 54 asserts that there were three successive
men named Henry d'Oilly.

In the Jan. 2004 edition of "Foundations", Rosie Bevan wrote an article
correcting this misinterpretation of the record and demonstrated that there
were only two men (father and son) named Henry d'Oilly. Henry II d'Oilly had
a sister named Margery, who was the wife of Waleran, Earl of Warwick. Henry
I d'Oilly was the son of Robert & Edith d'Oilly.

Dugdale's "Monasticon Anglicanum" 6 (1): 252 provides the following:

"...quod ego Henricus de Oilli filius Henricus de Oilli, consensu et assensu
Roberti fratris mei, et consilio liberorum hominum meorum, concessi, et
præsenti cartâ confirmavi ecclesiæ Sanctæ Mariæ de Oseneia... Robertus avus
meus, et Editha avia mea, at Henricus pater meus..."

I do not read Latin, but it appears to me that this identifies a charter of
Henry II d'Oilly who identifies his father as Henry and his grandparents as
Robert & Edith.

In addition to a sister named Margery (as pointed out in Rosie Bevan's
article), it appears to me that this charter indicates that Henry II d'Oilly
had a brother named Robert. Am I reading this correctly?

TIA for any help with this.

Absolutely correct. Keats-Rohan confirms this in Domesday
Descendants, pp 620-621:

Henricus de Oilly: son of Robert II d'Oilly and Edith Forne; died
1163, leaving issue... Henry II d'Oilly and Robert.

Cheers, Michael
