Latin Help Needed: Death of Maud, Countess of Northumberland

Ralph, 5th Lord Greystoke (1415-1487) made his will on 27 May 1487,
and had this to say about his granddaughter and heiress Elizabeth
Greystoke (eventually wife of Thomas, 2nd Lord Dacre):

"et volo quod dicta Elizabetha in custodia sit Matildae comitissae
Northumbriae."

Unfortunately I don't know Latin, but if someone could help me out and
let me know if the above indicates that Maud (Herbert), Countess of
Northumberland was alive when Ralph made his will, I would greatly
appreciate it.

It would help narrow down a death date for her. I posted last year
concerning CP's misreading of the 4th Earl of Northumberland's 1485
will: his wife was alive, not dead, when he made the will in 1485, but
died by the time he made his codicil, which unfortunately is only
dated with day and month (24th February) not year. If Greystoke's
will above shows that Countess Maud was alive in May 1487, then the
4th Earl's codicil had to have been written in 1488 or 1489.

Cheers, ------Brad
