Fraudulent genealogy

See Matthew Rockefeller had it all wrong. He would have been wiser to
take a page from Fermat and proclaim "I have the proof but the margin
is too small to contain it." (That's a paraphrase.)

If you want to pass off a fraudulent genealogy, just use these simple
techniques:
1) I found this in a rare / unpublished / destroyed / private work of
the highest caliber;
2) The reason that there are no documents is because they were
destroyed during WW II / WW I / the Wars of Religion
3) Ignore any evidence that show the line is flawed and cling to that
evidence that purports that it's good.

I suppose to speak to a wider audience I should have, instead of my
obscure reference to Pierre Fermat, cited "Holy Blood, Holy Grail"
and it's ilk of Humpty-Dumpty history and startling conclusions drawn
therefrom.
