Wadham & Wrottesley Genealogy

I am trying to trace the genealogy of the founder of Wadham College,
Nicholas Wadham. I am looking specifically for one piece of information:
the parents of his ancestor, Joan Wrottesley of Staffordshire. I know that
there were several branches of the Wrottesley family living in Staffordshire
at the time of Joan's birth, I just can not find a source that has
information about her parents.

Joan Wrottesley was married to John Wadham (1344-1411), son of John Wadham
of Merrifield, Somerset. I believe that Joan died in 1412, and was buried
with her son William Wadham. John and Joan had at least two children:
William (born 1873, married to Margaret Chiseldon), and Margery (born 1403,
married to John, Lord Stourton, ca. 1399-1462).

I have tried the Complete Peerage, but it only offers that John Wadham was
married to Joan, daughter of (---) Wrottesley. The Visitation of
Staffordshire does not take the family back as far as the 1400s. I have
also corresponded with Clifford Davies, the Keeper of the Archives at Wadham
College in Oxford. He writes that he has the Wadham family lineage beyond
John Wadham, Joan Wrottesley's husband (from a manuscript on the Wadham
lineage by T. G. Jackson), but he does not have Joan's parents' names. Nor
are Joan's parents identified in Burke's. I have also written the
Staffordshire Records Office, as well as the William Salt Library, but
neither can offer anything beyond what I already have.

So now I'm asking this list. Does anyone have any ideas as to the identity
of Joan Wrottesley's parents, or where I might look further? Thanks.
