I visited Hereford Cathedral today. It is packed with mediaeval
tombs, including a good number of its bishops'. I have downloaded and
sorted some of the photos, in case anyone wants copies. Those I have
so far are:
(1) Sir Richard Pembridge, KG died 1375
(2) Peter, Lord Grandisson, died 1358
(3) Lady (Joan) de Bohun nee de la Chapelle, died 1327 [married a
Bohun of Midhurst]
(4) The shrine of St Thomas Cantilupe, Bishop of Hereford 1275-1282
(5) Brass of Richard Delabere (d 1435) and his wife Isabel
(6) Brass of Sir Richard Delabere (d 1514), showing his two wives and
22 children
(7) tombs of Bishops Reinhelm (1102-1115), Geoffrey de Clive
(1115-1119), Hugh Mapenore (1216-1219), Peter de Aigueblanche
(1240-1268) and (Charles Booth (1516-1535)
I will detail the remainder shortly (including Bishops William de Vere
and Robert Foliot), together with what I have from Brecon Priory, once
I have time to sort and label them, in case they are of interest.

Is the date 1327 actually on the tomb? or is that comment your
addition?
That she married in particular John de Bohun of Midhurst who d 28 Sep
1284 and by whom a son James de Bohun of Midhurst born 3 Feb 1280/1 at
Ford, Sussex who m Joan de Braose but evidently d.s.p.
And that this John de Bohun had royal ascent through his mother Sybil
de Ferrers, in seven steps, to Henry I --- I have a note to refer
here to a posting from Sep 2005 which I did not copy.

Sir Richard Delabere of Kindersley who d 15 Jul 1514 was supposed to

Richard has royal ascent in seven steps to Edward I
I would be interested to see what the full quote off his MB states.

I didn't transcribe it, but I did photograph it, and each of the
component brass figures, including one of the coats of arms. I can't
recall there being much text - would you like a copy of the
photographs in case you can make any out? Alternatively, the arms
might serve for identification of his wives.
