'Molmore' son of Lagmann and Christina daughter of Alexander

Hi all,

Any help with this one is much appreciated.

In the 'Calendar of Entries in the Papal Registers, vol. 1', s.a.
1290, there is the following dispensation:

'Commission and mandate to the Bishop of Argyle to make enquiry and
grant a dispensation to Molmore, son of Lagmann knight, and Christiana,
daughter of Alexander, called 'de Ergadia', knight, who intermarried in
ignorance that they were connected in the fourth degree of affinity, to
remain in the marriage so contracted'. (p. 518).

I know that the 'Lagmann' is Ladhmann, eponym of the Lamonts, which would
make 'Molmore' (i.e. Mael Muire) a brother of Gille Coluim, father of Sir John (Eoin)
Lamont, whose children Isabella and Duncan married into the Campbells and Clan
Domhnaill respectively.

I know those relationships formed a discussion some time ago, so I was
wondering if anyone could provide insight as to the possible way
Mael Muire and Christiana, daughter of Alexander of Argyll (d. 1310),
could be related in the fourth degree.

Thanks,
Steve
