Mediaeval Denmark
I am just back from a couple of days in sunny Denmark. Amongst the
items sitting in my camera are photos from Roskilde Cathedral,
including the tomb of Queen Margaret I (died 1412), who united
Scandanavia; the mural on the alleged pillar-tomb of King Harald
'Bluetooth' (died c986), and some other early modern Danish royal
tombs, and a number of armorial displays dating back to the late
Middle Ages. I will try to post a fuller list tomorrow. As usual, I
am happy to forward copies to anyone interested.

Find suitable frames, slap those suckers on the wall, and stop
jabbering about them.

See, now, it's not very fun to have someone impertinently blurting out
in a thread you started, is it?

I should add I also have some photos of the armorial displays for the
various Royal Orders from Fredriksborg Palace, and a series of royal
ciphers. I have other, later material, but won't go into detail here
as they are not on-topic.

No, I'm totally sober now and only have a slightly irregular stomach
and a touch of melancholia.
But I just wanted to remind you that two can play at your little game
of disrupting threads, and--as deeply as it would bore me--I'm quite
willing to do it.

you are at mediaeval genealogy?

No, the fantasies weren't *about* my female relations (I only said
they were quite handsome ladies, especially my grandmother, who would
be 101 if still alive). You seem to enjoy bringing this up every few
postings you make.

Brandon is playing to the peanut gallery of hs own mind once again.
Two points should be made:
1. The initiator of a thread does not have proprietorial rights over it
2. There is no comparison in terms of validity or sense between Michael's
remarks in the first place and this futile attempt at retaliation from
Brandon.
Now if only he can let himself and the rest of us enjoy his hangover in
peace....

Of course it wouldn't really be a futile attempt if I just instantly
popped off a rubbishly little rejoinder -- it wouldn't even have to be
a sentence, just "098,,,98+++++ lkjlkjl""j -08-////////09-0" -- or
several little rejoinders all in a descending row, which _could_
effectively spoil the look and flow of the thread (of course, we
uptight genealogists want things to *look* nice and neat). Not that I
am really like that in life; you should see my wreck of a house.
Just keep this in mind before you get too crazy and start organizing a
brigade to interrupt *my* threads.

No, there's no need for the Chute look-up. What is all this fake
niceness, first implying that I'm hardly rational, then offering to do
a detailed task for me? I'm no good at trying to decode wildly mixed
signals (I just shut down). Please just stay out of my threads, and
I'll stay out of yours.
