Muddling my Morrysons?

I think I'm going round in circles.

I already had the second wife of Henry Clinton Fiennes (2nd Earl of
Lincoln) as Elizabeth Morrison born Cashiobury, Watford, Herts around
1550 and the daughter of Sir Richard Morrison and Bridget Hussey.

The IGI has a submitted record stating that this Richard was born in
Cashiobury about 1521 the son of a Thomas Morrison and "Miss" Merry.
It says Richard died 17 Mar 1556 Strasburgh

In browsing around on Google a man called Fynes Morryson keeps turning
up. I wondered if the Fynes first name was coincidental. Then I turned
up two submitted records for another child of Thomas Morrison and
"Miss" Merry. One is for a female Fiennes Morryson born in Cashiobury
and one for a male Fines Morryson born in Watford. Both supposedly
born around 1523.

I know that the Elizabethan traveller Fynes Morryson was born in
Lincolnshire in 1566 and was the son of a Thomas Morryson Member of
Parliament for Grimsby. I've read Fynes' brother was a Richard
Morryson who was involved in Ireland.

So please does anyone know whether the family of the Elizabeth
Morrison (later Countess of Lincoln born in Cashiobury) is connected
to the Fynes Morryson family? It seems odd that Elizabeth appears to
have an aunt or uncle named Fiennes or Fynes as a first name when she
later marries Henry Clinton Fiennes. It then seems strange that there
is another man called Fynes Morryson if there is no connection.

I don't normally pay much attention to submitted IGI records but these
seem to look as if there ought to be a pattern.

Best wishes
Sue
