Let me repost this quarry with information not included in the first.
For the last four years I have been researching the connection between
the Lathrop and Aston families, in particular as follows;
Generation:
1. John Aston b.c. 1444 Ashtede, Surrey, Eng. d.c.1484 m. 1467
Elizabeth Delves b.c. 1448. Parents of
2. Thomas Aston b.c. 1480 Staffordshire, Eng. Father of
3. Ellen Aston c.1510/18 Cherry Burton, Yorkshire, Eng.d. 1572/73. m.
1535 Robert Lowthrop c. 1511-1558. Parents of
4. Lawrence Lowthrop b.c. 1539 Cherry Burton. d.c. 1602, m. Elizabeth
Howell. Parents of
5. Samuel Lowthrop b.c. 1570 Cherry Burton. m. Margaret Prestwood.
Parents of
6. Marke Lowthrop (Lathrop) b.1617/18 Cherry Burton. d. 1685
Bridgewater, Ma.
Sources: (1) LDS Files, Generation 1 through 6 (reference parish
records St. Michael's, Cherry Burton for baptism of Marke as son of
Samuel 3/12/1618).
(2) 'The Descendents of William Shurtleff', Benjamin Shurtleff 1917,
revised Roy Shurtleff 1976, Generation 1 through 3.
(3) Stirnet Genealogy, Generation 1 through 3.
(4) Genealogical Memoir of the Lo-Lathrop Family, Huntington 1884, 3 &
4 with no reference to Ellen's maiden name.
(5) Ancestry.com, 'Francis Cooke, Early Ma. and New England Families',
Generation 3 through 6, (ref. United Ancestries Inc. 1994).
(6) Lo-Lathrop Family Foundation, Generation 3, Robert Lowthrop w/ no
mention of wife Ellen, through gen. 6 (ref. Culleton's of London;
Perley, 'The History of Salem, Ma.; Anjou, 'Lothrop Family Record in
England') However the foundation states that there is no documentation
to show proof of accuracy.
(7) Generation 1 through 6, numerous GedCom created sites.
(8) Relationship of Mark Lathrop to Rev. John Lothrop (and Thomas
Lathrop) whose descent from Robert Lowthrop and Ellen ____ is better
documented supported by records of early New England colonists; 'The
Bay State Monthly, a Massachuetts Magazine', 1884 article on Daniel
Lathrop; and per Ancestry.com "in cross referencing available English
wills NEHGS, and the Lo-Lathrop Memoir, there would appear to be
substance to the relationships.."
Has anyone any further research information, supportive, or not,
regarding these relationships? It would seem at this point in my
research that they are probable but not documented.

Samuel Lowthrop had two children baptised at Cherry Burton in 1603 and
then in 1604, there was then a *long* pause until three more occur at
1616, 1618 and 1621. Do you know any reason why? Were these two
different wives?
Thanks

By the way Source 1 and Source 7 are useless sources to cite in this
pedigree. Once you site something like stirnet, which is *primarily*
based on Visitations, you're at least one if not several steps ahead
of "LDS Files" and "GedCom created sites" and so citing them as well
does not add anything.
However it would be helpful if you'd post quoted extracts from some of
your printed sources.
