Dugdale's Monasticon Anglicanum

Has anyone an opinion of the accuracy of Dugdale's
work in Volume 1.

The British Museum has a copy of the first volume
which is prefaced with Sir William Dugdale's portrait.
At the time of 1656 his age was about 50.

Sincerely Yours,

Paul Bulkley

Volume 1 of which edition? What, specifically, is it in volume 1 for
which you seek corroboration?

If you're using the 1st ed. (online through EEBO database), there is a
website (noted here at some point; check archives) which has digital
images of much (though I think not all) of the big early-19th-century
expanded edition, very confusingly arranged & presented.
