Cornhulls of London & Middlesex

The published Feet of Fine for London and Middlesex provide some
further details of the Cornhull alias Cornhill alias Cornwell family
who are ancestral to the Frowyk and Charlton families. These
references allow us to add an earlier generation to the Cornhull line:

1. Roger de Cornhull, father of:

2. Richard de Cornhull, called "son of Roger de Cornhull", Feet of
Fine 22 Edward I, in relation to property at East Twyford; married
Joan, named as his wife, Feet of Fine 18 Edward II in relation to
property at Willesden (she was daughter of Ald. Henry de Gloucester);
issue:

3a. John de Cornhull, will proved Court of Hustings, London, 1363
(father of Alice Frowyk/Charlton)

3b. Alice de Cornhull, named with her father, Feet of Fine, 33 Edward
I, in relation to property at Willesden.

I haven't yet looked to see whether Roger can be tied into the earlier
de Cornhull family of London, but at first blush I don't think so.
