I suppose stupidity is in the eye of the beholder, and so his being helpful
using a sledgehammer.

Just for the fun of it I went to Google and entered Empress Matilda. I
was
told there were 147.000 entries for her.

Can you see the wood for the trees? [sic] The first one was from
Wikipedia, and

I pressed that one, something appeared but it was immediately wiped by
Wikipedia with their "Welcome to Wikipedia, Todays featured article, Able

Wouldn't you give up?

NO.

Here's the FIRST PARAGRAPH:

Empress Matilda (February, 1101 - September 10, 1167; Saxon form Maud or
Maude) - was the daughter and dispossessed heir of King Henry I of
England.
She was married to Henry V, Holy Roman Emperor, and after his death to
Geoffrey V, Count of Anjou, by whom she became the mother of Henry II of
England. She is sometimes called Maud to differentiate her from the many
other Matildas of the period. Matilda is the Latin form of the name
"Maud".
She was the first ever female ruler of the Kingdom of England.

It was a stupid question.
