Update on Alan de Dinan's marriage

Legg inn av Douglas Richardson » 06 des 2006 07:32:06

Dear Newsgroup ~

Good news. I spoke with Gary Boyd Roberts of Boston, Massachusetts
this past week. Gary kindly offered to examine Moriarty's Notebooks,
Volume 13, to see what evidence Moriarty presents there regarding the
alleged marriage of Alan de Dinan, seigneur of Dinan, with a daughter
of Count Stephen of Brittany.

Also, since my last post on the Dinan family, I've had the opportunity
to examine some more Breton charters of this time period. I'll report
my findings on them as soon as I have a report from Mr. Roberts.

Not unexpectedly, Gary expressed keen interest in the newly developed
royal ancestry of Jane Greene, wife of William Pole (or Poole), of
Massachusetts. Jane (Greene) Pole descends from two of Alan de Dinan's
granddaughters, Eleanor de Vitré, Countess of Salisbury, and Maud de
Vitré, wife of Henry (II) de Pomeroy.

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah
