Ancient Petitions Online

Hi all,

Not sure if this has been mentioned here previously. The National
Archives in conjunction with York University are digitising over 14,000
images of documents in the ancient petitions series..and the good news
is that the images are downloadable for free.... (if you can read
medieval texts that is)

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/docu ... itions.asp

The full series will gradually become available through next year.

Regards,

John

I would hardly call this "free" when the National Archives is asking
for a credit card number.

Hi Steve,

It fooled me a bit as well. Click on the link to pay by credit card.
You are not asked for any credit card details - only your e-mail
address. You then arrive at the page where you can download for free.

Regards,

John
