de Grendon

Dear all,
I have just joined the list and hope someone may be able to help.

On one of my family lines I have SERLO De Grendon c 1135 as a Great Great Grandfather who is linked to the family of Brailsford, on another line I have Roger de Grendon c 1140 of Grendon Warwickshire, is there any suggestion anywhere that Serlo is related to this family.

My thanks

Jeff

Keat Rohan 's book prosopography of persons (1066-1166) says nothing?
You should look at the Red book Exchequer quoted in
Chapter certificates of Earl of Ferrers
, Extract of A Feudal History of the County of Derby
Chiefly during the 11th, 12th and 13th Centuries
By: John Pym Yeatman, Esq.,
p308

N°35 Roger de Grendon held one fee.
Note testa de Nevill shows thar will. de Grendon held 1/2 fee of
Bubberville.
It 's probable that the fee was at Bradley was held by Serlo de Grendon who
married the daughter of William fitz Ralph the justiciary of Normandy (Temp
HII)
