No Halsey descendants in New York

I've posted in the past on John Halsey of Hamburg, Germany (descendant
of the Great Gaddesden, Herts., family), who lived in New York. This
source seems to indicate there would be no American descendants:

************
John Edwin Cussans' _Hertfordshire_, vol. 3, part 1, pp. 122-23
("Pedigree of the Family of Halsey"), shows a John Halsey, born 1760 in
Hamburg, Germany, and died 1845 in Brooklyn, New York. He married Anne
Crafts in Boston in 1794, and had the abovenamed sons, as well as the
following children ...

4. Anne Halsey, m. in New York, ___ Rosenbaum, Esq.
5. Julia Halsey, ob. innup. at N. York.
6.-10. Five children, died young.

If you go to the FamilySearch search engine, and enter "John Halsey +
Nancy Craft" (exact spelling) under "All Resources," you'll find some
descendants listed in both "International Genealogical Index -
Germany" and "International Genealogical Index - North America."

I've come up with a partial ancestor table for John Halsey (1760-1845),
the American immigrant, relying on the pedigree chart in Cussans, and
Nichols' _Leicestershire_, vol. 3, part 1, p. 220 (fn. 9
especially):

1. John Halsey, died Brooklyn, NY, 1845

2. Decimus Halsey (1704-1768), of China, India, and Hamburg, Germany

3. (second wife) Elizabeth Herrern, of Mollhagen, Holstein

4. Thomas Halsey (1654-1715), M.P., of Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire

5. Anne, daughter and heir of Thomas Henshaw

8. Sir John Halsey (1615-1670)

9. Judith, eldest daughter and coheir of James Necton, Esq.

16. William Halsey (1590-1637)

17. Lettice (Stringer) Williams (d. 1649), widow of Thomas Williams

34. Henry Stringer, Esq., servant to Queen Elizabeth and King James,
"descended out of Gloucester"

35. Margaret Sacheverell

70. Henry Sacheverell, of Sadington and Kibworth, Leicestershire,
living 1550

71. Dorothy Danvers

142. William Danvers of Culworth

143. Elizabeth Fiennes

286. Richard Fiennes, Lord Say and Sele

(Lettice Stringer, # 17 above, is probably the "Lettiss Stringer,"
daughter of Henry, christened 16 May 1588 at St. Ann Blackfriars,
London, per the extracted IGI.)

Can anyone comment on the accuracy of this? I wonder if there are
present-day descendants. "John, William, & Charles Halsey, merchants
and partners in New York" all seem to have married Curtises, per the
IGI.
