Fitzwarren, Cole, Drake c. 1450

In my usual scientific and methodical (NOT) way of doing genealogy, I was
reviewing the maternal ancestry of John CRANDALL (1617 - 1676) and stumbled
over a claim that Margaret COLE (b. ca. 1476), the wife of John DRAKE (ca.
1474 - 1554), was the daughter of James COLE and Agnes FITZWARREN. (I
previously had the James COLE part but not the mother.) A google search
revealed that on Ancestry.co.uk, Charles L. Dohogne lays out an additional
10 generations of FITZWARRENs and other notable families. (e.g. BEAUCHAMP,
FERRERS, etc.), but alas, with no source documentation.

Does anyone know anything more about this ancestry? Thanks!

It seems that rest of the issue is irrelevant since the Crandall Family
Association discounts the claim that John Crandall has any of the maternal
connections listed in various places: http://www.cfa.net/cfa/origins.html
