As I was mousing around looking for more tidbits on the Harrington's of
Bourne, I happened to stumble quite accidently on the full complement of Worsley's
of Deeping Gate. That is, the children of Richard Worsley and Mary Harrington.
There is an interesting document made by John Worsley of Deeping Gate, in
Maxey, Northants about a year before his death where he provides for the marriage
portions of his four living unmarried sisters. (See Document 1 below)
In attempting to identify each person named, I found several items new to me,
but more importantly that The Register Book of the Parish Church of Maxey
exists on the IGI for this time period (Batch P011991)
Richard Worsley's wife, Mary Harrington, survived her husband and is still
living on 25 Oct 1625. Looking at the list of children, I am suspicious, once
again, that Mary is the daughter of Rose Winter. Mary's last child would have
been born when Mary herself was between 55 and 59.
Richard Worsley was buried 13 Jun 1607 at Maxey by the way.
