Query: That Bernard de Brus was second son of Robert d 1294/

Robert O'Conner off-site has shared with me a descent from Robert Brus (VI) d
1295 by his wife Isabel de Clare, that makes (aside) a chronological argument
that Bernard de Brus of Exton must be a bit older than I'd thought

That is, that he first into the slot 1241/8. So possibly he was even the
eldest son for all I know currently.

The descent is
Bernard de Brus of Exton d 1266
Bernard de Brus of Exton d 1300
Bernard de Brus of Exton d 1329
John de Brus, Esq of Exton, Rutland d 1345
Jane de Brus d 1421 mar Nicholas Greene of Exton, Rutland d 1379
Eleanor Greene d bef Jul 1400 mar Thomas Colepepper
Eleanor Colepepper mar Sir Reynold Cobham (3rd Lord) d 1446
Eleanor Cobham "est 1403" mar 1428 Humphrey Duke of Gloucester

Fitting this into a chronologic straitjacket forces us to arrive at the
conclusion that Bernard was born by 1248 unless he was unusually preconcious.

Are there any sources which state the order of the sons ?
Thanks
Will Johnson
