Gateway problems ?

Legg inn av Gjest » 06 sep 2006 22:31:02

I had thought that the list had already moved to GEN-MEDIEVAL from
GEN-MEDIEVAL-L as I was getting bounces once in a while. But it seems like I'm still
getting messages from GEN-MEDIEVAL-L as well.

So I'm not sure what's going on :)

The GEN-MEDIEVAL list was very recently moved to a different server,
LISTS5. However, the list has not yet been migrated to the new list
management system, Mailman; that is scheduled to happen during the
second half of this month.

Do we have to re-subscribe? What happens if people send messages with an _L_
or without?

Subscription lists will be carried over, so re-subscribing will not be
necessary.

The Mailman software will accept submissions with or without the -L.
However, the messages sent to list subscribers will be from
GEN-MEDIEVAL@rootsweb.com instead of from GEN-MEDIEVAL-L@rootsweb.com;
some people may need to adjust their filters, etc.
