A correspondent tells me that:

"My source for Amy Kempe's birthdate of 1576 is Mayor Jay Berry Price, in his
book, "The Price, Blakemore, Hamblen, Skipwith and Allied Lines." He writes:
"She was christened on 7 Oct 1576, according to Dartford Parish Register,
Dartford, County Kent, England.""

However in
A Genealogical and Historical Account of the Throckmorton family in England
and the United States, C Wickliffe Throckmorton, Old Dominion Press, Richmond
VA. 1930
he states that Amy was "third daughter", and her sister Mary Kempe was chr
14 Mar 1590 at Wye

Then in
A General History of the Kemp and Kempe Families of Great Britain and Her
Colonies, Fred Hitchin-Kemp, Daniel Wm Kemp, John Tebor Kemp, Leadenhall Press,
London. Undated.
he states that Anne Kempe was the "eldest daughter"

Since Dorothy (Kempe) Chichley's children were born by 1616 when her husband
died, its a good bet she must be the "second daughter"

So that would leave 14 YEARS between Amy and Mary. Is this correct? It
seems rather odd to me.

The Amie (sic) Kempe baptised on 7 October 1576 at Dartford, Kent, died
on 12 October 1576 there, according to the parish registers.
