In March, John Brandon wrote:

" I wonder if it's possible John and Susan (Spencer) Temple had two
sons called John: Sir John of Stanton Bury (who married Dorothy Lee)
and John, Esq., of Frankton (married Anne, sister of Richard Tomlins,
M.P.)? "

It is unlikely that John and Susan had two sons named John. The
memorial to John (father of the first baronet) in Burton Dassett church
contains 12 heraldic panels representing each of his 12 children with
the gender being represented by the position of the Temple "arms". For
those that are married there is an heraldic representation of their
spouse. There is a panel for George who died young, The 12 children can
be accounted for without adding a second John. If there had been a
second John, he would have been included.

Temple Prime (who can be wrong) says that John of Frankton was the son
of John and Susan (and hence brother of the first baronet), while John
of Stantonbarry was the son of Sir Thomas and Hester.
