Today, Walt O'Dowd sent me privately the current DNB entry for Sir John Say.
I have viewed the older DNB entry and extracted the genealogical details from
it, thanks to a note here, that he was listed, and that answered my previous
question.

The new entry adds a few things and one of the interesting ones is that Agnes
was the dau of John Danvers of Cokethorpe (aka Cothrope), Oxfordshire

This connects with the recent discussion here on the de Tracy - Danvers
link, but I am wondering if this Agnes Danvers is supposed to be assigned to
John's first wife Alice Verney or to his second Joan Bruley.

I don't have enough data yet on her and her first husband Fray to decide what
decade she was born in, which may answer the question. Another possible hint
might be if she left any children by her second husband John Lord Wenlock who
she could not have married before 1461

According to their entries in HoP, John Fray MP of Munden Furnival,

Herts. (d.1461) married (2) Agnes (d.1478), dau of John Danvers MP of
Calthorpe in Banbury etc. (d.1449) by (1) Alice d&h William Verney of
Byfield, Northants.
